Teaching Interests
My primary teaching interests include machine learning, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and special topics within these fields. I am also very interested in courses that apply these fields to other areas such as clinical informatics, educational technology and end-user development, and in teaching computational thinking skills to non-computer science majors.
Courses
- CSCI 6800 Subjectivity Analysis, M.E.P. (Spring 2012)
- CSCI 5900 Machine Learned Ranking, I.S. (Spring 2011)
- CSCI 6800 Subjectivity Analysis, M.E.P. (Spring 2011)
- CSCI 5417 Information Retrieval, Guest Lecture (Fall 2010)
- CSCI 6900 Question Answering, I.S. (Spring 2010)
- CSCI 5622 Machine Learning (Fall 2009)
Courses I have taught previously include:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Knowledge-Based Systems
- Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Software Engineering
- Process Analysis and Modeling
- Calculus (NDSU, Fall 1987, Winter 1987-88, Spring 1988)
